What should you be aware of before undergoing a SKINVIVE procedure?
Inform your therapist if:
- You are allergic to lidocaine;
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding;
- You are taking vasodilator medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or others;
- You have an infection on your body, herpes, or other wounds on your body;
- You are undergoing therapy to suppress your immune system;
- You are prone to hyper- or hypopigmentation or scarring;
What should you do after the SKINVIVE procedure?
- Apply a cold compress to the treated area to reduce the risk of bruising;
- Apply sunscreen to the treated areas whenever you go outside;
- Increase your water intake for at least 48 hours after the procedure.
What should you not do after the procedure?
- Do not use any makeup for 12 hours after SKINVIVE injection;
- Avoid any extreme experiences, such as prolonged exposure to the sun, ultraviolet rays, and temperatures below 0°C;
- Avoid any type of sauna or Turkish bath (hamam) for two weeks after the injection;
- Do not engage in intense physical activity for the first 24 hours after the procedure;
- Avoid massaging the treated areas for up to 6 hours after the procedure;
- Avoid microneedling, peeling, or laser procedures for 2-4 weeks after the injection.
